Jesus: Our Comforter & Friend
"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all." (2 Thess. 3:16)
What a comfort the above verse is for those who are in Christ. With 224 miles completed, I am a little over a third of the way finished with this journey. Of all the things I prepared for, the one thing I did not prepare for was the loneliness, and at times, the helplessness you feel sometimes out there on the road by yourself all day. Yes, even though cars are flying past, you sometimes feel isolated and on your own. However, I am blessed to have a loving and supportive family, and most importantly I know the Love of my Heavenly Father, who calls me His own. No matter how alone I may feel at times, I always have the Comforter with me. But what about those who are going through crisis situations, and do not have a family to turn to, and do not know Jesus. What about a birth mother who is facing the decision of whether to have her child, or the unthinkable, abort her child. Who feels alone, and that no one understands or cares about them. That is why the Emmanuel Home is so important. To truly care for and love these women, and most importantly point them to Jesus, where true Redemption and Peace are found. To help Restore lives. CAS cares for the birth mother as well as the baby. When a woman comes to CAS, the staff understands that there are two souls at sake, and Christ is center in all steps of the process. That is why our family loves to volunteer with this ministry, and we are blessed to participate in the Restore Walk. Please continue to pray that the funds needed for the Emmanuel Home will be raised, and that many lives will be Restored through this ministry outreach. To God Alone Be The Glory.
I was able to complete another 24 miles today, and I am about 20 miles from BCH Kennedy Home in Kinston. Lord willing, I will make it there tomorrow. Thank you for your continued prayers.
