Adoption Training
CAS offers two training sessions each year to prepare families for becoming adoptive parents. These sessions cover topics applicable to both domestic and international adoption. CAS requires all domestic perspective adoptive parents to complete the following training prior to placement:
- Infant CPR certification
- Attendance at minimum of two CAS training conferences
- Complete a minimum of 3 Adoption Learning Partners (www.AdoptionLearningPartners.org) classes pertaining to domestic adoption such as Lifebooks, Let’s Talk Adoption, Conspicuous Families, The Journey of Attachment,
and Finding the Missing Pieces. A copy of the completed certificate of completion must be received by CAS
