Pregnancy Counseling

Christian Adoption Services is committed to serve members of the adoption triad – birth parents, their children and adoptive parents. Through its free, confidential counseling, CAS strives to safeguard the life of the unborn. In the case of an untimely pregnancy, counselors are prepared to render basic personal needs including food, shelter and clothing. Acquiring adequate medical services is paramount.

Pregnant women and birth fathers can be as engaged in the selection of the parents of their children as they desire. There is a growing trend towards open adoption these days. If handled well, there can be benefits to all parties. Closed or semi-open adoptions will always be common; circumstances often direct the path the adoptive placement will take.

CAS strives to maintain an open relationship with these young mothers long after they release their babies for adoption. As part of the counseling program, the counselor helps the mother personalize both short and long-term goals. Once the inner goals of a young woman are identified, it is the counselor’s duty to explore opportunities for her to achieve them whether they are educational or vocational in nature.

Continued relationship with these mothers is fostered though the Birth Mother’s Retreats that are described under the topic of Social Events.
